Introspection
To design your life, you must first become more self-conscious. Through a simple test and some introspection, you can unearth various ideas and knowledge about yourself that may have become dormant through the demands of everyday life. When you are more aware of who you are and what you value most in your life, you can make the right life design decisions for yourself.
From our Introspection Handbook:
Introspection, or the process of self-examination and getting to know the self, is a life-long process. It is the continuous examination of our personality; of the shift in our values as certain issues become increasingly more or less important to us. It is the process by which we monitor our goals to ensure that we still find them relevant and important.
New experiences, new successes and failures, and passing years make us see our environment and roles in a constantly changing light. As we are also continuously changing and growing, it can be very difficult to keep a firm grasp on our direction if we do not occasionally examine our altering motivations, expectations, and desires. However, this can be hard to do, with all the blocks and biases we potentially set up around ourselves.
