Perserverance
(Editor’s note: Perhaps due to the proximity of the “r” to the “e” on the keyboard, more people search for “perseRverance” on the Internet than for the actual word “perseverance.” Which is why we include the entry under both headings.)
Most people give up too soon. Instead of giving up if something does not work as you expected, or if you are not as successful as you expected, try to find the reason for your failure. Eliminate that reason and try again. This may have to be repeated several times over, but ultimately you will be successful. Few people who tried a new endeavor were successful the very first time and most needed to repeat their efforts again and again.
