The Complete Guide to Successful Self-Improvement

A highly recommended book for anyone who seeks to change themselves or is interested in psychology. This book addresses self-improvement problems of a physical/psychological nature (over-eating, anger management, depression, phobias, alcoholism). Each chapter identifies an individual problem and then discusses how realistically that negative situation can be reversed through drug therapy, psychological/group therapy or alternate methods. The author delves deep into the subjects, but his approach and explanations of jargon are always engaging and many will enjoy the readability of a potentially dry topic.

Readability: 5/5

Applicability: 3/5

This book examines the amount of control we have, or think we have, in our lives. This will be of interest to almost anyone and invites introspection. However, a majority of the conditions discussed are diagnosed psychological ones that many readers may not be able to relate to.
